My name is BALEY

Favorite Toy:  My favorite toy is “Buzzy Bee”.  I get to go shopping at Pet Smart and I picked him out myself!!  I never let Baxter play with Buzzy!

Favorite Treat:  My favorite treat is “Vanilla Bean Frappacino” from Starbucks!!  Mom takes me there at least once a week!!  When the workers at Starbucks figured out the “treat” was for me they wanted to watch me drink it.  Now they save special “lids” to serve it to me, so that I can get to every last drop.  Mom has a special friend who even brings me one when she comes to visit!!  I like her!!

Favorite place to sleep:  My favorite place to sleep is on the rug in Mom’s office—but only when she is in there—I like to sleep on the cool bathroom floor when she is in the house!

Favorite place to go:  I really like to go anywhere if it involves getting in the car—but I especially like to go to “Pampered Pets”.  I get to go every other Thursday—to get my hair done.  They pick me up and bring me home in a cool van.  I wait at the window for Kelly to get here to pick us up— and I go get Mom to open the door—I LOVE to go to Pampered Pets!

Nicknames:  My favorite nickname is ‘Bayboo”—I will also come to Booboo!  But I am NOT a big mistake!

Favorite Toy:  My favorite toy is a “rubber pink tennis shoe”!  OR anything that Baley is playing with—I want whatever he has at the moment!  The tennis shoe squeaks really loud and gets everyone’s attention which is what I want!!

Favorite Treat:  I really like to go to Starbucks too and drink “the vanilla drink” but MY favorite treat is “cheese dogs”—they are really crunchy and I have to sit down to get one!!  I take a shortcut and come straight in and sit down by the “treat door”—by the way that is the only time that I willing to sit down!

Favorite place to sleep:  I don’t really like to sleep—but when I absolutely have to I like to sleep on Mama’s feet in her office.  She works way too much so it is my personal responsibility to entertain her to get her mind off of what she needs to do.  When she gets up from her chair I jump in it so she can’t sit down again!!  I think she needs to play more!! 

Favorite Place to Visit:  I like to go to “Pampered Pets” to get my hair done—it is such a great adventure!!  I like to go because Baley likes to go—I like to do anything he likes to do!!  I love to ride in Mama’s car—I always get the front seat!!  I don’t understand why I can’t go every time she goes!

Nickname:  For a long time I thought my name was “No-don’t do that!”  But now I know I’m Baxter (ie: “The Bax)  Big Daddy calls me “The Rascal”—I don’t know what that means—but he always laughs when he say’s it!

Dear Mom and Dad (Molly and Dudley),

     It’s me, Pip.  Though my true given name is Phillip, I mostly respond to Pip, Puppa, Wuppa, and Baby boy.  I have really grown since you last saw me.  I measure 29 and a half inches at the withers and weigh just over 100 pounds.  The vet says I am in perfect condition, but Alfie’s mommy still calls me “freakishly large” for a sheepdog.   My parents think I am hilarious and sweet and they tell me that they love me more and more every day.

      I am not a real “foodie” but if I smell peanut butter, I come running.  My favorite toy is a giant green spider that my humans have had to replace several times.   I love to hike.  My mama takes me all over the trails in Eastern Massachusetts where we get stopped constantly by folks admiring my handsome looks and my charming disposition.  We go to Vermont often where I run free on the hill with my many dog friends.  I am usually a good boy unless I am with my biological half sister, Maggie.  She and I like to get muddy, play tug-of-war, herd each other, and terrorize her brothers.   I enjoy swimming too, but I am not as accomplished as my Newfoundland and retriever friends.

      I miss you both, but know that I get a lot of attention and love from my humans – we all have lots of fun together.

NOW I AM GOING TO BE A CELEBRITY!  It has been very exciting,  my mom and dad won a Tony Award for producing this year's best revival of a drama on Broadway.  I love to go to the theater every night and talk to the people coming out and meet the cast.

The dog trainer from Chitty, Chitty Bang Bang on Broadway saw me and he thinks I am so cute he has offered to sign me to do films and commercials!!!   My family says I can try it but if it's too taxing on me and if it isn't fun for me they will make me stop.

Dear Jezzy & Bentley (Mommy and Daddy),

I wanted to give you a quick update on how things are going for me.  My new (human) mommy and daddy have had me for almost a month now and I have grown quite comfortable with them.  They have two little girls that absolutely adore me, especially when I am not biting them or pinning them to the floor (I keep trying to show them that I am really in charge of them, not the other way around!).  I have an older sister named Alexandra (Ally) and we are the best of friends.  My mommy says that I have renewed Ally's "inner puppy", we play all the time! I don't have any "favorite" toys because there is huge basket filled with them.  I love to jump on the basket and "hide" the toys so Ally can't get them out and then I play" bite and growl" when she tries to get them from me. 
I love to eat pig ears, those help me not to chew on mommy's furniture or whatever else I can sink my puppy teeth into.  My mommy is also trying to train me to "sit" in order to get a treat, some days I am more patient with her than others when it comes to this trick.
I love to cuddle, snuggle with my mommy, she rubs my ears and makes me "purr".  My nicknames are "Mattie", "Mattie-bear" and "Miss Tinkles" (for obvious reasons~ooopppsss!).
Life has been really good so far.......they keep telling me the best is yet to come, we are going to a "cottage" in Baldwin to celebrate the beginning of summer next weekend. My mommy says that she will teach me to swim just like she did Ally (who can't swim any more because of the "cast" on her leg :{ ).  It sounds like a lot of fun.  I will keep you posted.

  My favorite activities:  The thing I love to do the most is chase my brothers all over our hill in Vermont where we live. I also like to help my mommy retrieve golf balls that she’s hit out to a field next to the house.  And now we have a new baby girl in our family (she’s my mommy’s granddaughter) and, sometimes I have to baby sit for her. Her name is Peyton and she’s really, really cute! Basically what I do is keep my brothers away from her and I do a very good job.   Alfie Morton (you know, the Christmas Alf) spends a good part of the winter living up here on the hill with his family and I just love playing with him – I might even have a little crush on him (please don’t tell him).   Sheep dogs rule the hill!

Dear Mom and Dad, (aka Dakota and Dudley),

            I’ve been with my people almost two years now and I am having a great time.  My people Mom is sending a few photos of me all grown up so you can see what a big boy I turned into.  I’m tall enough to put my front paws on everyone’s shoulders and I weigh 75 pounds.  I still love riding in cars, especially my girl’s convertible, and I have a lot of friends in the neighborhood but my favorite is Lexi.  We run around in her yard until we both just lie down and pant.  She barks for me and then I run after whoever is at home and guide them towards my leash and then to the front door.  My girl Aja still loves soccer and we play that in the backyard.  They let me use my mouth and I’m pretty fast with that ball.  They all say I’m a real boy because I love to eat and then I let out a big burp.  I don’t like to get brushed but they make me sit for that every other day – Yuck!  They call me “Fuzzy Butt” and “Fluffy McBite Bite”; I guess both for obvious reasons.  I just love to teeth on my people – I love them.

 I just thought I’d let you know that I’m real happy and you picked good people for me.  My family still visits your website to see the new puppies.  Everyone asks where I came from and my people Mom tells them so maybe some day I’ll have a relative on Long Island.  I hope everyone is great in Michigan.
